Yay, no school today!  Finally, I've actually slept for eight full hours.

Tonight's opening night of the Merry Widow! Come, everyone and see it! Tickets are half price today, only $2.50 for students (adults are 8 dollars). Being in the pit was a good experience, but it did take a lot of time, considering I live about 45 minutes away from Blair. Next year, I really want to do stage crew or actually get a role in the play (because the pit and crew never get acknowledged for their hard work).

Mmm...I'm eating cookie soup. Hahaha yes I made that up. I made soft peanut butter cookies today, but put in a little too much butter (oops) and they came out a little too soft, haha. More like mush. So now I'm eating the er...remains. It's gooey and chocolately and warm and gooooooooooooood.

I'm so excited about HFStival (sp?)! Everyone's been telling me it's full of drunk crazy people....but don't worry, I'll fit in fine with them. I've never been to a rock concert before, and this is practically, the biggest annual rock event in DC. Whoohoo!

I HATE CHEMISTRY.

Everyone come to Blair's school play, the Merry Widow! The pit is awesome! (Not!) But really, you should come and see us, since it's taking up every single friggin' minute of our lives to sit in that stupid box which isn't even deep enough so you see the conductor's head and the basses from the seats. Gah.

Rose has no summer plans except for the following: China/Japan and health (2nd session, QO. Be there or...be scared, muahaha). Anybody have ideas? (Don't say NCO...I'm missing it bc of health (gr..wait this is a parentheses withing a parentheses)) Otherwise I'm just going to sit and watch re-runs of Passions all day. Or possibly eat the entire population of macaroni and cheese. Or prank call people. Or weed the garden. Or...I'll attempt to re-read the entire 'Baby-Sitter's Club' series! Whoohoo!

Guess who's back? Muahahaha...Vegas was so awesome!! Okay the following is a list of things I did in Nevada:

- tripped while getting off the airplane and sent my luggage everywhere (hey, it was dark, freezing and I hadn't slept for 28 hours)

- ate meat not once, but TWICE. First time was at Rainforest Cafe, where my mom told me to taste this 'fantastic cheese dip', which tasted like cheese to me. We later found out it was crab sauce. Second time was in a Korean resturant, where I didn't notice there was beef in my noodles until 3/4 way through. Urgh.

- got a tan! Yes, really! Everyday in Vegas was at least 85 degrees, and walking around the Strip for hours really turned me darker (but not extremely noticably so).

- fell in love with Jason Isaacs in 'The Patriot'. My goodness, that man can act. How I love evil people. (For you non-Isaac-worshippers, he's the bad guy in The Patriot who kills Mel Gibson's sons, Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter, and Captain Hook/Mr. Darling in Peter Pan. Mmmmmmm.)

- got kicked out of the casino floors at least a dozen times by waitresses who weren't very...erm...spaciously clothed.

- faced my worst fears and went into the aquarium at Mandalay Bay. When we were at the petting pool, I was explaining to my sister how I ate stingray at camp and the tour guide person stared at me like I was a nutcase.

- watched moving statues at Caesar's Palace. They actually started talking and dancing, which was neat. 

- stood 7,000 feet above sea level and stared down the 1-mile depth of the Grand Canyon South Rim into the tiny Colorado River. I didn't expect the canyons to be so incredibly enormous. Guess that's why they put the 'Grand' in it. D'oh.

And now I must go practice violin like crazy. Urgh. Hopefully my fingers remember where to go, because I'm too sleepy to read the music.

Guess who's leaving for Las Vegas in exactly two hours, and STILL can't find any socks! Maybe my sister stole them to make puppets...ugh she's obsessed with my stuff (I'm sure everyone with a younger sibling understands).

TGISB. 10 days of not wearing Blair IDs, no pit orchestra and NO CHEM R&E!! Woot woot! To everyone who is on vacation: have fun don't go to Gatorland if you're in FL! And to everyone who is staying home...HA HA you losers...just kidding, be sure to get lots of sleep and waste lots of time!
